The auto experts at Kelley Blue Book's kbb.com recently chose the 2012 Hyundai Elantra one of the "10 Best Green Cars for 2012." This is the Elantra's second consecutive year to make the list, which editors use to introduce a large variety of fuel-efficient vehicles.

The next-generation 2011 Hyundai Elantra, which went on sale in December, marks the first American-made iteration of the popular compact. It is manufactured with the Sonata sedan at Hyundai's U.S. assembly plant in Montgomery, Alabama. However, given a recent projection for a 10 percent surge in demand for 2011, this could very well soon change.
