All-New 2014 Hyundai Genesis Sedan Preps for Production

A decade ago, it was almost laughable to think that the Hyundai brand would attempt to battle Germany's finest auto brands with a rear-wheel drive sedan. Today, however, Hyundai and its sister company Kia have evolved to the point where this idea is not only feasible, it's an intelligent choice.

In 2008, Hyundai launched its premium Hyundai Genesis sedan to enter the luxury market, and it's done rather well for itself. Now, to keep the model on its toes and relevant against the competition, the brand is developing a second generation Genesis model for the 2014 model year, which will launch by the end of next year.

The 2014 Hyundai Genesis has been spotted testing by several auto experts, and its styling appears to have been edited quite significantly. In fact, its new face looks remarkably similar to the Hyundai Azera model's due to its low roof. The new Genesis also appears to have modern LED accent lights and a shorter rear end.

The 2014 model will sit on an updated version of the current chassis and will lose a few pounds because of it, though it will gain new and improved suspension components. We expect the new Genesis to offer either updated versions of its current engines or the brand's new 3.3-liter turbocharged V6 engine currently in development.

Of course, you'll still have to wait a bit for this stylish new sedan's appearance, but the current model is rather impressive as well. If you haven't had the chance to take this beauty for a spin, why not stop by Lujack Hyundai, conveniently located at 3700 N Harrison Street Davenport, IA 52806, today for a test drive? We look forward to meeting you soon!
