2013 Hyundai Veloster Turbo Specialty Paint Job is Quite High-Maintenance

Auto enthusiasts are buzzing about the hottest new paint job on the market, and it's only available on the 2013 Hyundai Veloster Turbo. This specialty gray matte paint job isn't for everyone, however. It takes a bit more maintenance than your traditional vehicle.

The matte paint job comes with an amazing 11-page owner's manual, microfiber towels, and a wash pad. Why, you may ask? Because Hyundai suggests the car should not go through a traditional carwash, but instead, should wash the vehicle by hand for the best results. Brandon Ramirez, Hyundai Motor America Senior Group Manager for Product Planning, explains to Inside Line: "It's not for everybody, but those who really want it will want to hand wash their car."1

The new paint job is an optional feature for the 2013 Veloster, and it comes with an additional price of $1,000. Upkeep for the finish involves simply spraying Windex on the body and wiping it down. The sleek paint job removes the traditional glossy finish and enhances the vehicle's high-tech look and sharp edges. The 2013 Hyundai Veloster Turbo has an MSPR of $22,725, including a $775 destination fee, and will be sold starting in August 12th.
